I don't see what exactly "something like this:" is. I see the box thing with the 9 latest headlines. So to me, that is made. That leads me to wonder if something didn't display properly, and if so, is it a matter of browser compatibility, or if I am just completely and irrevocably lost. :)

Well if you right click that box, or however you get the properties using FireFox, you will find that it is an image. It's hosted at FeedBurner's site. Somehow it reads my XML file, and the image updates the second we write a new article here. It's pretty awesome. I was looking into it a little bit and got as far as SVG I think it was called. But I don't think that's the only way. Norbert knows a little bit about such things. Did you know you can make images with Perl, PHP, and other programming languages, and they behave just like regular images?

Okay, I do see the box, with the headlines displaying. I thought it was something you made, since it was there.

I... glean.. there's a word I haven't used yet.. I glean now from your explanation that you want to *host* or *create* something like that, whereas I *thought* you already had.

As far as pictures using programming languages, that sounds intriguing, but far beyond anything I'm doing right now, or what I'm interested in learning at this point. What's nice about you telling me anyway is that I'll know the "technology" exists and one day may be working on something, say, "I need to do this," and remember that girl who needed to explain herself to make me happy.

I mean by "something like this" that I think that box is a little big and fancy designed relative to what I would like to have as a site news scroller for SiteLibrary. I'd like to make something a little more plain and smaller and have it locally hosted here as part of this site. But I'd like it to be a gif image like that one is.

Looks like we were making a comment about the same time. Don't feel all alone, I confuse nearly everybody. Sometimes it comes out to my advantage like when people are making change at the store. I don't do it on purpose.

 Colored Rectangles

I don't know if this needs saying or not, but to me, the colored rectangles don't look like an image, but little tables each having a different background color.

I suppose the randomization part would be pretty easy for a programmer since all the web colors are represented in 3 separate hex values of 0 - FF

Me feel alone because I don't understand something? You are now a jokester! Or you're forgetting who you are writing to! Are we tired yet? No yawning necessary to indicate tired state, but please refer to the written words of the tired person instead.

Now I must be non-serious and express my concern. John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King.. many others, all sadlessly executed for their beliefs, and wanting to make change.. now thinking of Jos making change has me very worried and concerned. I've been concerned about the cashiers of Wal-Mart and Target for some time. Now I have to worry about the potential assassination of Jos.
