Universal Metropolis is a culmination of life expression through the Internet, web media and the arts, towards the inevitable state in which we're all one big planet.
UM facilitates a magazine, a network of internet radio stations, develops its own web-based software, is building a city, organises adventurous gatherings and throws occasional killer parties.
This web site first intrigued me because my sister pointed out that a registered user had plagiarized one of my articles from 2003. I was impressed that the administrator responded within five minutes of me pointing out the "error." First he added a comment to the "post" that the user who posted it, "plagiarised this from another site... may he rot in hell." And then he posted my site name and URL above the article, and then emailed me to apologize. I basically thanked him and told him there was no need, as I'm aware an admin can't be responsible for all posts submitted.
