WASHINGTON - The Food and Drug Administration is warning people not to eat certain Dole pre-packaged salads that have been connected to an outbreak of E. coli infections in Minnesota.
The illnesses have all been associated with Dole salads bought at Rainbow Foods grocery store outlets in the state. But salads carrying the same production codes have been distributed nationwide, prompting the national warning, the FDA said...

Ok Best Before Sept 22...yeah and if you still have that salad hanging around and are thinking about eating it don't! Who even eats salad that far past it's expiry date? You can get away with eating canned goods, gum, chips, etc a bit past that date but bagged salads? That's just plain nasty. That's like drinking milk 2 weeks after it's "Best Before" date.
If I ate that salad and got sick I wouldn't even think about suing them seens as it's my own damn fault for eating salad that old. And if I ate it previously (with that date on it) and got sick....am I still going to have that empty bag? Probably not.

I used to shop at that Rainbow food they mention. Well, I doubt if it's the exact same one; there's a chain of them in Minnesota. I don't know what states they are all in.
I don't care about salads, or paying attention to the day of the week, or listening to people when they're talking to me; what I care about is eating meat because it's now apparently safer to eat than salad and less chance of food poisoning.
