Removed AOL Logo from Browser

ComputersFinally!

After a couple of years and several IE updates, the AOL logo remained in the upper right corner.

Here's the trick that got rid of it:

On the Windows Start Menu:

Start -> Run -> rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear

First they give you IE, then Gecko and now..sigh...IE again.
New AOL Browser Based on IE

eWeek is reporting that AOL is testing a new standalone web browser, that uses an embedded IE engine to power it. They report that the browser includes a tabbed interface, as well as popup blocking. The article states that this browser would not be tied to the AOL service, and would not require you to sign into the service.

I sort of miss that AOL browser. If it has the little hearts for the favorites that you can drag around, I might go for it. That's if it's free.
