There are many language translations available for the portal system. However, they may cause problems if we don't make sure that all the words are in any new language file we may add. Missing words in a language file can cause whole pages to disappear.
I propose starting with the German language file and making sure it has everything and is correct before installing a final copy of it.
(I s'pose since I proposed this I should take a look at it first and make sure at least the words' numbers are all there.)
If someone with good English-to-German translation skills could look it over and pick the best phrases to use, it would help a lot and make it a lot more user-friendly.
To see which words are included in the language file, add ?showlanguage=y after the index.cgi (for the main portal system, not sure how it works on the mods)

We now have German and French languages mostly available. They both need a little further translation and are located in the downloads in the WebAPP Mods, Plugins, Hacks folder.
Up and coming will be a plugin to make a click to select a language. Or sometime hopefully soon.

Abwyn!
You're right, and I use a lot of your hacks. I think they're the greatest, so much so that you're practically my hero! I try to give proper credit where I can for things, but I'm often kind of sloppy when in a brainstorm over something or other.
Thanks so much for all your neat work on WebAPP stuff. I've done some work on the HTML, too, as you have, and as you can probably see from the table layout, alt tags, etc. around here and there on my WebAPP installs.
So today's the 18th, meaning that two more days until the 20th when WebAPP site is planned to be back up again. Many are probably watching the calendar and counting the days. I know I am.
Thanks for stopping by... Hope you come back
(but I hope the German-speaking friends here at this portal do not follow you over to your portal and leave me here all alone, LOL)
I keep meaning to stop back by at your portal but haven't gotten around to it for a couple weeks. Been busy working on this one.

Hi Jos, Thanks for the flowers (german idiom)
I also can't wait until WebApp reopens... it seems it might take a little while.
