How to escape UBBC

to make a text bold write [b] text [/b]
to write that you type [[b] text [[/b]
If you want to write
"Submit Your WebAPP site SiteLibrary Web Directory."
You just type
"Submit Your WebAPP site [url=http://www.sitelibrary.net/Directory/]SiteLibrary Web Directory[/url]."
But to get that I typed
"Submit Your WebAPP site [[url=http://www.sitelibrary.net/Directory/]SiteLibrary Web Directory[[/url]."
Does not work with Smileys[sic] [wink]

How to escape a smiley :
"When you write :-) it displays  "
Example: [b] [/b]:[b][/b]-[b][/b])

Hey look at that, it escaped the link on the http://example.com too!
[http://www.example.com]
[[http://www.example.com] did not escape it.

Uhmm..whilst on the subject of UBBC, I know there have been alot of exploits for Matts scripts, UltimateBB and others, anyone ever bothered to check if any of these types apply to the BB in Webapp?? Might be a good idea, just had a friend running an older version of a BB, got his password stolen.Wasn't pretty.

That's being worked on to varying degrees. There are a couple new security fixes out just very recently. Any little bit helps.

By the way, now that Pascal discovered that trick for showing plain smilies, I use that b and /b button in WebAPP almost more than any other. Pascal wins first prize for the best WebAPP trick, in my book.
