...I have victims calling me from a tents in a truck stop parking lot.  30 families in thirty tents that the police chase from pillar to post.  No body wants them in their backyard.  2 adults, 3 children and 3 small dogs in a tent.  Only a matter of time until one of them gets hurt or worse.  They wait for 45 minutes on the cell phone on hold with FEMA.  When they get through, the contractor is unfamiliar with the regulations and wrongly denies their aid.  Each one is entitled to up to $26,200 in financial assistance + temporary housing.  The cash can go towards rent or mortgage payments.  They are entitled to be living in house, townhouse, apartment or worse case a hotel, yet the aid workers hang up on these people...
