Here's a pretty good story I wrote this morning. I wrote all about how Christopher Columbus discovered the Ohio state capitol.

having read your story in it's entirety, i feeled compelled to offer you an "honory membership" to my www.syndicate.jfk1.net thingy...

i hasten to say that although there are a relitively small number of honorary members at this time, this purely refers to members, who, having had "honorary membership" bestowed upon them, are permitted, and indeed encouraged, to make entries, in the relative section, as to the release of a new story,(as would be in your case, being a man of letters), or to any other newsworthy item, in their opinion, notwithstanding the opinion of the rest of the world, (which of course they are duly entitled to). this does not mean that the rest of the world need to have "honorary membership" bestowed upon them, to actually visit and look at the aforementioned entries, regarding the release of a new story, or other newsworthy item, (according to opinion).
having considered this offer of "honorary membership" to yourself, very carefully, (and come to the conclusion that a second honorary member would be quite useful, and contribute to the enhancement of my www.syndicate.jfk1.net thingy at this moment in time), i do feel that i may have to construct a totally new category in which to place entries referring to newly released stories. this category would be exclusively for the use of "slightly mentally unstable honorary members". this would involve the putting entries into a squarish box, but i am sure this box could be modified in such a way that it has nicely rounded corners, and complies with all international health and safety regulations, for the use of "slightly mentally unstable honorary members". it would of course, have a nice square window, (notwithsatanding your own opinion of squareness), for all the world to look at.
i hope you will consider my offer of "honorary membership" and reply accordingly.
(in actual fact, the whole world has "honorary membership", by default, at this moment in time, as i haven't worked out how to limit entries exclusively to legitimate, invited "honorary members")

having duly noted your "subtle link", which was indeed vaguely familiar to me, (having not seen it too often on other peoples sites ), it is now i who is truly honoured!!!
i can see you have considerable foresight and a certain degree of astuteness, by placing this particlar link,www.jfk1.net, as apposed to my syndicate thingy link. it might well be considered by some, that a link to such an "exclusive club" as my syndicate thingy, would be somewhat out of place alongside other links like "reuters" and the "BBC", which are far more commonplace.
of course this immense honour, of placing my link, does have a downside.. i may now have to take time out from my general flitting about from site to site, enjoying myself, (ocasionally bestowing honorary memberships etc), and do some serious facelift work to my homepage, which has been long in the planning stage....(well, i did actually think about planning it). this will also probably involve less sleeping, and going down the pub....
