I use AddWeb Pro, seems to work well for people I know who've used it, provided pages are meta-tagged,keyworded ect correctly.... just a thought. :-)

Dear community, How about adding the sites having most recent popular key words (of course except the tinted ones) in our directory, so that we can gain the required mileage. Hope I am right. Please note that I do not know how to find these key words, I think I have seen them in JoeAnt. ( sorry not sure) Thanx and rgds

Very good idea Esemji. We have a recent keyword feature for the directory as well. I will make a display of it so we can look.

I know, now and then, when I do look at the popular keywords some of them tend to lean towards people looking for their listings in our directory. Like titles that are stuck together (such as SiteLibrary) where most people wouldn't search for an exact title it would be a more general keyword. Most of them seem to be actual searches for sites though. And I to, like the idea of adding sites to match those keywords.

Yahoo!'s top keywords are here: Yahoo! Buzz Index Google is here: Google Zeitgeist Dmoz I don't think has an external list. Maybe someone one the inside would know but I can't find any that are public. A trend tends to be whoever/whatever is in the media that day will get the most searches, which makes sense. So things like Britney Spears, Mount St. Helens (last couple of weeks), George Bush Jr., John Kerry, presidential debate, etc, etc. Look at the headlines at any given time and that tends to be what people are searching for. If there are any special events, such as debates, movie premiers, sporting events, etc, that's what people will be searching for. I will definately be working at adding more celeb oriented sites to Entertainment in the next few days. Feel free to suggest some yourself. You can do that by going to the Web Directory section and drilling down to wherever you want to submit a site, reading the guidelines (similar to JoeAnt but different in some areas), then filling out the needed information. Then if your site is approved you'll get an email telling you it was, if it was rejected you'll get an email telling you that and why it was (we don't decline for things like wrong cat etc etc). If something needs to be edited the reveiwing editor (Jos or myself) will edit them for you, then approve them (you'll get an email telling you it was approved and what it looks like now). We usually try not to change things too much though. If you don't like it you can always modify it via the "Modify Link" section under every link, but you will need the password for this. And a final note: Updates are done approximately once a week. It will be updated more often if a new category was created when accepting a submission.

Here is a top 300 keyword searches list for the directory - http://www.sitelibrary.net/community/pages/topsearches/ . There is still more to do with the page, but it's a start. My, a lot of people do spell funny. Might be an idea to use some of the most common mispellings in some of our keywords on the sites' more info pages. Still working on all the programming...

You also have to remember a lot of those "mispellings" or stuck together words are just the site owners looking for their sites nothing more. I personally am very hesitant to even look at those keywords when adding sites. You'll notice when adding sites for those very specific keywords that the only site that could match (malektips for example) is already listed because they already submitted it or we have already added it on our own. They are probably getting hits from us and are curious where they are listed and if the description etc fits what they would want. The typos for legit words is an idea to add into keywords for sure. I'll definately keep that in mind when it is commonly mispelled. Thanks Jos! Side note...what kind of search is "wee" lol? Wee what? wee clothes, wee people, what exactly? That's like having the search term small or big. lol. Another sidenote...Viralsol has been turned down because there is not contact info othe than an email. So until they add that stuff I can't list it. They know why they were turned down.
