Yes, the SQL query can be in the script - later. It displays all sites that need edit of the non-e description. I'm not sure what you mean with the flag in the editors' interface.
An extra field for the edited or not flag can be added. It's just making a field searchable or not that is the challenge. I made the foreign description field searchable.
Ah, so if you store the input from the submission just in a *different* field, that is not searchable we are really fine, I think. When the non-e description is ready it is written (manually copied) into the field that there is today (and this field is searchable).
